Sitemap Generator Forum

Just upgraded from 8.0 to 8.1 and noted two things.

1. It appears to crawl a lot more pages with strings which should be excluded (it does exclude them but noticed much more traffic crawling)

2. I'm no longer receiving email notification when it completes. 8.0 was working last evening at the last cron job but nothing this morning, even after manual runs of the generator.

My rules file for my forums exclude most query string modifiers. The resulting sitemap does not have any of those modifier URLs listed, but it just seems to chew up more bandwidth on the server. The log seems bigger than with 8.0, as the log only had 6 pages logged by BB and now there's a few more.

Yes, session completed but seemed a little longer than pervious version. Sitemap was created and on first examination appears to be created correctly. Edit - it appears the sitemap from the last 8.0 run is there with no new one replacing it. Examining the data folder it appears it's not completing the creation of any new sitemap.

I plan on downgrading back to 8.0 from my pre-install backup to see what happens.

I downgraded back to 8.0 and ran it, the generator worked correctly and both the sitemap was created and the notification email received. Went to 8.1 and it appears it didn't work, no new sitemap or email notification. I copied the log files via ftp but I couldn't tell what's suppose to be there or not so I can't offer any clue.

I'm going to roll back to 8.0 as it was working fine and with everything else going on I honestly don't have any spare time to troubleshoot at this point.

I'm now regretting even bothering to update! I rolled back to 8.0 and now getting these errors:

I even went back two weeks and replaced the entire works with a backup and still get this error. If I get this working I'm never, and I mean NEVER doing another update unless the damn thing breaks!
