Sitemap Generator Forum

Hello,

I have just installed the standalone sitemap generator.

It starts crawling, but after a while I get the following error message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, service@webmailer.de and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

What can I do?

Hello,

it looks like your server configuration doesn't allow to run the script long enough to create full sitemap. Please try to increase memory_limit and max_execution_time settings in php configuration at your host (php.ini file) or contact hosting support regarding this.

thank you for your answer.
I did change the php.ini file. I increased memory_limit to 512MB and max_execution_time to 9000.
However, I still get the same error.
Is there anything else I can do?

Hello,  in this case I would recommend to run generator in command line if you have ssh access to your server.
