We've got more types of articles next to news, but we only want to have news in the /sitemap_news.xml.

Is this possible and how should I set this up or do this?

Hello,

in case if news pages are located in nieuws/ folder in your case, you can define New sitemap inclusion mask setting to:
nieuws/
