Sitemap Generator Forum

Hi,

A newbie problem I am sure.

When I go to mysite/generator, I get a 404 error.
If I rename index.php, I can see all the files in the generator directory, but if I click in index_old.php (the renamed index file), I get the same 404 error!!

Followed the instructions, unziped, uploaded, all okay.

Created ror.xml and sitemap.xml and set permission to 666, no problem ...

I can see all the files in my browser, I can even open the howto-install guide in my browser ... it is just index.php (index_old.php now!) that gives me a 404!

Any help would be great!

I have temporarily gone back to the free sitemap file ... :-(

Hello,

It looks like your host doesn't support PHP language though (which is required). Please check that with your hosting support?

my site does support PHP, I run an SMF as an example and many PHP scripts.

Here is the URL:

and the sitemap installation:

This directory has the index file renamed ...

I can also send you the . htaccess file if you like (from root)
I even made a one line simple . htaccess for the generator directory with "RewriteEngine off" as the only line.

I logged a job with my host ... they say they changed nothing ... but now it is working!
