Sitemap Generator Forum

Hi,

I've just purchased and run your excellent script.

Quick question, when I update / add pages to my sites will the xml file automatically update itself or do I need to run the generation script again.

Hi Neil,

since the generator script is not called every time when the page is added/updated on your site, it can't update the sitemap in realtime.
So, you has to either:
- run the crawler periodically in the manual way
- to setup a cron job for sitemap generation (on the daily basis, for instance) as described in the generator documentation
