I am not getting - how do I save, I donot have a public.html

Hello
I would love to have someone explain to me how to get Google to read my site-map. It is currently a sitemap.php.
I came to this site through my host and was hoping that by creating a html sitemap throught xml-sitemap.com might clear things up. However now I am more confused. I do not have a public.HTML folder on my site or is this named something else. I am confused on how to save this new sitemap.html onto my computer. How do I save this to my site? I am not a programmer. If anyone can help that would be great.

Hello,

you should put resulting sitemap.xml file (NOT sitemap.html) to your domain root folder and submit it to Google then.
