Sitemap Generator Forum

I am using Sobi2 directory and the sitemap contains many duplicate urls but having diferent names showing on Google webmaster Tools.

e.g.
/chandlers-ford-directory.html?catid=988
/chandlers-ford-directory/i/insurance-agents.html

Is this a known problem and what can I do about it please.

those are different URLs, that's why both are included in sitemap.

They may look different but they point to the same page and what is strange about it is not all of them have double URLs.

My question is why only some?

You can add this to Exclude URLs setting to avoid adding them in sitemap:
catid=

Thank you for this - it has given me an idea of what I may be able to do.
