Sitemap Generator Forum

Hello,

I started using Ioncube's free Obfuscating HTML Encoder recently: [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

Since then xml-generator only generates sitemap for the index page (mydomain.com) and removed all other pages in mydomain.com/ (removed 800+ links)

Is this because xml-sitemap generator cannot read HTML properly now as the browser's "view source" code is obfuscated? 

Any solutions?

Hello,

html obfuscating should keep your pages crawlable (with links visible to search engine bots), otherwise I would recommend not to use it. Please PM me your website URL so that I can check the details.

Update:

I see that it basically turns ALL your content into a javascript, which is a big no-no from SEO point of view, since it doesn't allow search engines to crawl your site.

My recommendation is to disable it asap and to use it ONLY on pages where it's really necessary for you.
