Sitemap Generator Forum

Somehow the sitemap creation is not working properly anymore, it used to work for weeks (manually and through a cron job); all the time it indexed around 210 pages but yesterday when I manually executed XML-sitemap, it suddenly returned 1420 pages (don't have that many); then I manually executed it again and now it only indexes 1 page (the homepage).

I tried re-installing but no good either ...

Any idea what could be going on?

I pm-ed you the specs, did you get it? Somehow I didn't get a confirmation that it was send and the outbox is empty ...

I am having a similar problem.  It use to work fine indexing about 3800 pages.  Now, when xml-sitemap runs it is only indexing the homepage.  Admin, I am going to PM you with my config url so hopefully you can also help me out.

FWIW

In my case the site involved is a Joomla site which has a module installed to protect it from 'evil' ... this module tagged the XML site map generation as evil and blocked it, so the XML generation stopped at the first page.

Took me a while to find out until I checked the logs to find that the server where the site is on was blocked ... this lead to my discovery.
