I searched the forums and found that my data folder should be set to 0777 and it is and the files inside should be 0666

I change them to 0666  but for some reason they automatically switch back to 0644 could this be the problem?

Never Mind! I figured it out. It was the permissions.

The data folder is set to 777 and the files within are set to 0644.
How did you fix the permission? I have Cpanel access.

Ok, a re-think. it appears that the problem is with the “pages/class.xml-creator.inc.php(2)”.
What should the permissions be set too for the Pages directory?
Mine are set at 755 and the files within are 0644
Will it be safe to change the Pages folder to 777

no - you should only set permissions to sitemap.xml/ror.xml files in domain root and /generator/data/ folder.
